High Line Rescue Technician II Rope Rescue:
is a 16-hour course in advanced Rope Rescue Techniques.
This course was developed as a follow up to Operations Rope
Rescue. Together these two courses constitute a Technician
I/II Certification. Operations Rope Rescue from HLR, or Tech. I
from PRS, Inc. are pre-requisites for this course. This course
will review pick-off rescues allowing the student to
re-familiarize themselves with the systems. The course will
then move on to stokes basket rescues, discussing patient
packaging, stokes rigging, and victim retrieval. High-line
systems will also be addressed in this course. We will do as
many high angle scenarios as time permits. THIS CLASS
INCLUDES MANY HANDS-ON EVOLUTIONS!!!!! Indiana
State Certification is available. This course meets NFPA
1006 and 1670 for Technician Level Training. $300.00.

Students will need to bring their own helmet, boots, gloves, and
headlamps. You should also bring any other personal gear
that you already have, such as your rescue harness. HLR will
provide all of the equipment that will be used. Optional:
Goggles (or some form of eye protection) knee pads, thermos
for water, etc.
Students will be responsible for their own lodging and meals.
Upon receipt of your completed registration form and payment,
a list of motels and a map of the local area will be forwarded to
you along with your confirmation letter.
