High Line Rescue Operations Level Rope Rescue:
is a 24-hour course in Rope Rescue Techniques. The course
was developed to provide the student with an introduction to
rope rescue techniques. The course begins with a classroom
review of equipment, knots and safety, the class then moves
outside for “hands on” work with anchoring, belaying, mechanical
advantage raising systems, lowering systems, and patient
packaging. We will do as many high and low-angle scenarios
as time permits. THIS CLASS INCLUDES MANY HANDS-ON
EVOLUTIONS!!!! Indiana State Certification is available. This
course meets NFPA 1006 and 1670 for Rope Rescue
Operations Level Training. $300.00. Please call for out of state
Students will need to bring their own helmet, boots, gloves, and
headlamps. You should also bring any other personal gear that
you already have, such as your rescue harness. HLR will
provide all of the equipment that will be used. Optional: Goggles
(or some form of eye protection) knee pads, thermos for water,
Students will be responsible for their own lodging and meals.
Upon receipt of your completed registration form and payment, a
list of motels and a map of the local area will be forwarded to
you along with your confirmation letter.
