COMPREHENSIVE ROPE & SAFETY TRAINING

ABOUT

HIGH LINE RESCUE has offered best-in-class rope rescue and rigging training since 2001. Courses in the High Line Rescue Training & Safety Program prepare emergency response personnel and industry-specific safety teams to safely, efficiently, and effectively perform rescue operations. Fire departments, tactical rescue teams, police departments, and private companies have retained HIGH LINE RESCUE as consultants on high-angle rescue, rappelling, confined space, and fall protection programs. HIGH LINE RESCUE has also had the honor of training teams from several federal agencies including the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Weather Service. HIGH LINE RESCUE has taught courses in the United States, Europe, and Asia and all classes meet or exceed NFPA 2500 as well as all applicable OSHA and ANSI standards. All equipment for class is provided and remote location training sessions are available where necessary to meet client needs.

SERVICES

HIGH LINE RESCUE offers several categories of comprehensive rope safety training in the following areas: Rope Rescue, Tower Safety/Fall Protection, Confined Space, Tactical Training, Anchoring, and OSHA Consulting & Training.  All classes are instructed by certified safety trainers and are compliant with all current standards.

ROPE RESCUE

This course is an introduction to rope rescue techniques. The course begins with a classroom review of equipment, knots and safety, and an overview of general rescue operations. The class then moves outside for “hands on” work with anchoring, belaying, mechanical advantage raising systems, lowering systems, and patient packaging.

TACTICAL TRAINING

This course meets the tactical training needs of Law Enforcement and Military personnel. The course will focus on all necessary equipment and safety practices required to effectively execute tactical missions. The course will then move on to anchoring, basic rappelling, and inverted rappel techniques. Law Enforcement and Military Personnel Only.

TOWER SAFETY/FALL PROTECTION

Designed to meet the needs of today’s industrial and high- angle work environments, all classes are taught to current OSHA and ANSI standards and developed according to client needs. Programs including competent climber and rescue operations for wind turbines, tower/antennae, and high-angle construction work are available.

ANCHORING

This course begins with a brief lecture and then proceeds to the field where multiple anchoring scenarios will be conducted and students will construct the correct anchor. NOTE: No rescues will be performed, as the entire course will be devoted to safe and efficient anchoring.

CONFINED SPACE

This class will focus on entry, awareness, and in-depth operations of confined space rescues. The course includes hands on practice dealing with tripods, mechanical advantage systems, lowering systems, safely reaching, securing, stabilizing and if possible packaging the patient for extrication from a confined space.

Confined Space courses include:

  • Awareness

  • Operations Level

  • Technician Level

OSHA CONSULTING/TRAINING

Offering OSHA safety consulting and training dedicated to helping construction, governmental, and industrial entities reduce liability, grow worker productivity, and improve their marketability.

Comprehensive study of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and other applicable regulations is covered as part of this curriculum.
